Cold Aston Village Fayre

One Of The Best Village Fayres In The Cotswolds

The fayre is held on the first Saturday of August each year and is located all around the village and the village green. There is always a large variety of stalls and attractions with fun for all the family. Proceeds go to the village church, village activities and local charities.

When Cold Aston Fayre was first started over 30 years ago, it was organised by the church as a way of augmenting funds. Over the years the Fayre has contributed to the renewal of the chancel and porch roofs and the refurbishment of the five bells. There is so much in the church to interest every visitor and we encourage people to spend some time there, where they can appreciate the wonderful and rich history of our beautiful Saxon, Norman and Tudor church.

Whilst the upkeep of the church of St Andrew's is still at the forefront of the Fayre's fundraising efforts, the Committee has expanded its giving to encompass other village needs and local charities, for example, the village hall, the village school and Moore Cottage Hospital in Bourton-on-the-Water.

Although we have some funds available for some of the work, we rely for the most of the funds upon your generosity either through supporting the Fayre or through direct donations or preferably both!
